Principal's Message

December 1, 2020

To My Cougar Families,

Now that we have transitioned back to Remote 2.0, it is important that we take advantage of having access to our teachers 5 days a week. Remote 2.0 provides students the opportunities to meet with our teachers live on two separate periods of each day, 5 days a week. Also, teachers have 2 hours a week of office hours if you have questions or need guidance. Use this time in order to successfully move through winter break. It is crucial that you complete ALL your work and assignments. ALL students should be checking their teacher’s Google Classrooms daily and completing all necessary work in order to earn the passing grades and credit. SENIORS are still required by the Ohio Department of Education to meet all necessary End-Of-Course Assessment Points to graduate in 2021. Contact your counselors immediately if you have questions about your graduation track.

COVID-19 has impacted the way we live, the way we teach, the way we learn, and the way that we make decisions. I choose to remain positive and focused on what we will gain from this worldwide pandemic, and ask all of our students, families and staff at WHS to do the same.

Students are especially challenged and empowered during this time of adversity to carry out our WHS motto R.O.A.R. Cougars. Respect-Organized-Accountable-Response.

Never hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns at the office phone (614) 851-7000.

ROAR Cougars!
