Principal's Message

January 3, 2021

Welcome back, WEstland Family. I hope your break was filled with family time, laughter, joy, rest and opportunity to prepare your mind and body for 2021. This past year has brought so many challenges, however we have conquered so much together, including how we teach and learn, whether we are in Blended or Remote. I am GRATEFUL that we have each other as we continue to grow and improve the way we serve our students and our school community.

UPDATED District Calendar 2021 HERE

ALL students should be checking their teacher’s Google Classrooms on the days you are not present in school, in order to complete all necessary work for grades and credit. SENIORS are still required by the Ohio Department of Education to meet all necessary End-Of-Course Assessment Points to graduate in 2021. Contact your counselors immediately if you have questions about your graduation track.

COVID19 has impacted the way we live, the way we teach, the way we learn, and the way that we make decisions. I choose to remain positive and focused on what we will gain from this worldwide pandemic, and ask all of our students, families and staff at WHS to do the same.

Students are especially challenged and empowered during this time of adversity to carry out our WHS motto R.O.A.R. Cougars. Respect-Organized-Accountable-Response.

Never hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns at the office phone (614) 851-7000.

ROAR Cougars!

Dr. James Miller, Principal
